Custom Applications — Expense, Project, and Personal Finance
Independently designing and building several custom applications — expense tracking, project management, and personal finance — by thinking through the entire scenario each app needs to support.
Situation
Chris has independently designed and built several applications using Base44, including expense tracking software, project management software, and personal finance software.
Problem
Building a useful application isn't about individual screens or features — it's about thinking through the entire scenario the application needs to support: who uses it, what each user needs, how information moves through it, and how it fits into the real-world process it's meant to serve.
Chris's role
Chris designed and built each application himself, from the business and workflow thinking through to the working software.
How Chris approached it
For each application, Chris thought through the whole scenario rather than individual screens: user roles and permissions, data relationships, workflows, inputs and outputs, dashboards and reporting, automation, exceptions, usability, how information moves through the application, and how the software fits into the real-world process it's intended to support. Then he used Base44 to build it.
What Chris built
Functional applications — expense tracking software, project management software, and personal finance software — built with Base44.
Result
Working applications that fit real workflows, built in a fraction of the time traditional development would require — and a deeper ability to think through an entire application scenario end to end.
